Choosing the best wireless headphones

A wireless headphone allows you to wander free, listening to music or taking a phone call. There are three technologies of wireless headphones: infrared, radio and bluetooth. Each with its distinct features and, of course, advantages and disadvantages.
Infrared (IR) - These devices use an infrared (IR) beam to transmit the sound from the base unit to the headphone, working in much the same way as the remote control for your TV. There are two big problems to using IR technology for headphones.
1. The range is limited to about 9 meter.
2. You have to be within line of site with the base unit. Infrared is optical, It's OK if you are sitting in front of your TV or Hi-Fi. Wireless Headphones are not good for wandering around the room or into another part of the house.
